This game has many things "up" on other SMB games, one definitly the (likely)new Mario forms:Mega Mario, Mini Mario, and Shell Mario, although the "classic" Super Mario and Fire Mario are in this game too! Super Mario is Mario using a Super Mushroom, making him double sise, have greater strength, and the ability to withstand a single hit(but returning to normal Mario). Mario then heads to the top, where the Keys(including Gloomtall's) activate a machine, but Mario still needs three more from the last three rooms.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/16467384-114624205480029775?l=martianpartridge.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

PMTYD41

At first, Gloomtail seems a lot like Hooktail(although with higher stats, plus isn't weakend by the Attack FX R badge). Mario's first test is crossing through a room with spikes hidden under the floor in several areas, they rise when Mario gets close, so going through slowly is the way to spot them. In the next room, Mario must avoid moving flames as he advances, they come in two sections and if he toutches one he's sent back to the start of that section. The next room is similar to in Hooktail Castle when Mario had to fight his way through the Dull Bones to reach the Red Bones miniboss, but now there are the tougher Dry Bones and the Dark Bones is always moving(the increased difficulty is just a feeble attempt to keep up with Mario's greatly increaced strength). It's best to make sure you have some good items and badges, as well as full stats (especialy as you have to fight a pair of X-Nauts first). When Magnus releases its X-Fists, take them out with a Multibounce or Gale Force. Also, unless you gave Goombella a rank(I advise it as it gives her a second attack). At the beginning of the battle, they aren't very tough, but after Mario does enough damage, they switch to more powerful attacks that can hit Mario and his partner. Vivian uses fire and Beldam ice, which have possible side effects of burning and freezing, but aren't as strong as Marilyn's lightning. They upgrade agian after they take more damage, when Beldam boosts Marilyn's power so she can do superpowered attacks(she can also do that to herself and Vivian, or the oppesite to Mario and his partner, but power on top of power is the most notable). The group of Goombas is made up of a Goomba, a Spiked Goomba(a Goomba with a spiked helmet), and a Paragoomba(a Goomba with wings), which would be tough, but Frankly informs Mario that he can switch Goombella to the front so she can attack first. Using this trick, Goombella attacks first, using her Headbonk like Mario's jump, bouncing back up after the attack, then hitting it again, depleting its 2 health so Mario can whack the Spiny Goomba with his hammer. At this point, all that's left is the Paragoomba, which isn't strong enough to bust through a Guard. First, Frankly tells Mario to use his Jump attack, then freeses time until you press the A button so Mario can bounce back up and slam into Goombella again, doing 1 point of damage each time(that's a good amount of damage at this point)(you can't bounce up multipile times unless you're using Power Bounce). Next, Goombella attacks with Headbonk, and Frankly stops time as she's in the air for you to Guard using A. The third time, Mario attacks with Hammer, and Frankly stops time twice: when Mario moves next to Goombella for you to hold the Control Stick to the left, and when the gauge fills, he stops time again for you to releace it, doing 2 damage instead of 1. Lastly, Goombella attacks with Headbonk a second time, but Frankly stops time later so you can counterattack with B, doing 1 point of damage to Goombella in addition to blocking all the damage(a normal Gaurd only blocks 1).<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/16467384-113803462243315176?l=martianpartridge.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>

PMTYD3

After Mario rescues Goombella, she introduces herself. A brief meeting with Toadsworth tells Mario that Princess Peach is missing, and intruges Goombella, so she decides to join Mario in the search for Peach. When the goomba notices Mario, she hides behind him, which makes Lord Crump (the leader of the bad guys) think Mario is trying to protect Goombella(I didn't feel like just calling her "goomba"). At this point Lord Crump attacks Mario, starting the first of several tutorial battles(you don't get any directions in this one, though). After the battle, there's a quick cutsene where Crump tells the X-Nauts(you'll understand the meaning of that name later) to attack Mario, but it's easy for Mario and Goombella to slip away.
